A diffuser does the essential job of scattering any of the dominant frequencies within soundwaves, and while you could use an absorber to simply absorb and dispose of the same frequencies, you run the risk of draining the life out of the acoustics of your studio. Diffusers are usually pretty hefty constructions, but here, Ekustik Woody slim things down a touch in the form of the Fractal 34. This two-piece set builds a neat and highly effective diffuser that scatters any frequencies above the 8kHz mark - a service that would usually cost you at least twice the price, and since you get a pack of two, it's unlikely that you'll need any more. On top of that, these diffuser panels come finished in understated style so they can be installed to polish off the decor as well as the acoustics.
